thome smart cmm

hi all
i am an advanced manufacturing instructor in Ma.
we bought a Thome smart cmm .
we got some training but i need help.
the compamy wantts to charge me for help and says there in no manual.
i have an IGS. solid part file .
how do i get the computer to connect to the cmm so i can do the inspection?
i can do manual inspection of features but not sure how to go off the solid.
