Thought provoking video regarding automakers worldwide

If you dropped an atom bomb on the midwest, and completely wiped out Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, it still would do less damage to the US economy, tax base, and manufacturing capabilities, than if California seceded and became Ecotopia.

but the party mantra!?

If California did slide into the ocean, it would cause a huge recession in the USA. Fifteen to Twenty percent of the manufacturing in the USA is in Cali. Its the fourth or fifth largest economy in the world (not the USA).
3 and a half trillion dollars a year GDP. Which, again, is a very large percentage of the national GDP.
Triple the GDP of Illinois, ten times the GDP of Wisconsin.
It would hurt.
Pardon me.
Kalifornia is a veritable petri dish in a lab to grow communism and socialism.
Our Pa goobenor (a socialist) has created laws that all vehicles sold in Pa match kalifonia's emmision standards.
Does Pa:
1. Have Kalifornia's population density ?
2. Have Kalifornia's weather ?
3. Have Kalifornia's sunshine ?
4. Have Kalifornia's lack of humidity ?
5. Have Kalifornia's smog ?
6. Have Kalifornia's Industry base ?
7. Have Kalifornia's widlfires ?

No, Pa has:
1. shuttered industries, dying economy, declining tax base.
2. High humidity.
3. Some of the lowest sunshine days.
4. Much lower population density.
5. No palm trees, anywhere.

Pa does have Philly, pretty much identical to east La. as far as crime goes, as they have very similar
laws.

And that bomb would certainly improve blue chances in national elections.

Wipe out some of the "flyover states". You are probably not the first to have thought about it.

China represents the largest single component of California's economy. It's all about location, location, location.
Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana all share many of the same things.....large crap-hole cities run by high tax-regulation loving Dem-Libs that lost industry and jobs to China only to see the product and investment re-enter in California. Those fly-over states see massive building of warehouses and distribution centers....to handle lots of offshore produced product. Yippee!
No need to nuke anyone for that---one way or the other we are perfectly capable of wrecking everything good all by ourselves.

I quickly googled, there are natural resources and agriculture, tourism, that is, a resource-based economy. there is also Silicon Valley, but is it the merit of the state or is it a consolidated investment of the whole country? and there are still a lot of headquarters there that also affect GDP, but this is wind and a soap bubble, or burst or moved to another place

I have lived in California, for over 10 years. Not now, but I still like it.
I have spent a LOT of time in PA, as my wife is born and bred in Pittsburgh.
I know em both pretty well.

I cant agree with you.
But of course, being born in 1955, I have been a hippie, a punk, and listened to rap music since it started 40 years ago, so I already qualify as a socialist. There are about 8 actual communists left in California, they are all over 70.
Your problem appears to be that your actual pennsylvania neighbors are more liberal than you are, and keep voting for the people they want.
This is not California's fault.
I would add that PA gets back from the feds $1.15 for every tax dollar you guys pay. That fifteen cents is coming to you from California, and the other socialist states who actually make more than the get back. You know, the blue states, called that, because their budgets are not in the red.
Fact remains, whether you like what your governor does or not, California, and the money it makes, helps float your boat and pay for your roads and schools.

If California was a country it would be the 5th largest economy in the world
Seriously stop listening the the haters who think North Dakota is the Pinnacle of modern life

russian google is censored.
They leave out the car factories, the steel mills, the arms factories that are kicking yer butt, and the largest machine tool manufacturer in the USA. (haas, but there are a few other ones, too.)
It is not a resource based economy, and, most likely a fair amount of the software that even the russians use to access the internet, and guide missiles, comes from California.
Lots of the chips that are in the outdated cruise missiles currently raining down on Ukranian hospitals and apartment buildings were designed in California.
So, I guess, that would be one reason to encourage it falling in the sea.

spare me your propaganda, answer to the point. automobile factories, factories for the production of microcircuits and full-cycle machine tools? Or just assembly?

We have the highest road taxes in the nation.

So because your beloved state pays more in taxes, they can make legislation in mine ?

We don't have enough sunshine for solar.

However, we don't have wildfires.....

California since WW2 emerged as the leader in aerospace design and production, including electronics, and because of the infrastructure that supported advancing technology created an ideal environment for technological advances not likely equaled anywhere else in the world.

California's location is responsible for massive trade with China and other Asian nations. So...when you take into account Cali is pretty much the most convenient point for import and export, especially China along with leading tech industries whose intellectual product has been a very successful export to China you have a formula for a leading economy.

Of course Cali exports many other things that others in the U.S. or outside of this country may consider complete trash which is rather obvious and best left for debate in other web platforms.

again, even though I am now a Washingtonian, (also socialist) "WE" do not make your legislation.
your problem is with your neighbors, your children, and how THEY vote in PA.

I will spare you my propaganda when the Internet Research Agency stops blanketing my internet with literally millions of fake posts every single week.

this "person", "mrSanders", has, to my knowledge, never made a single post about metals, machining, tools, or showing any experience or interest in actually making things from metal. I only looked back about six pages on their posting history, but it seems to be all completely political and ideological pot stirring. They seem to exist solely as a political troll.
I will stand behind my 40 years of metalworking, as a reason why I am posting here, but I am kinda tired of seeing an obvious troll being allowed to remain.
