Tubing Spec Question - Size

I recently picked up a lakeland parker tubing bender. All of the dies and the user manual refer to tubing "sizes" I have not seen before, Sizes: 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16. I searched online and couldn't find any references where tubing OD is speced based on sizes like this. I don't have a copy of the Machinists Handbook available or I would take a look in there. Has anyone seen this/know the conversion to OD?

Probably refers to the hydraulic size where the number divided by 16 is the nominal ID in inches. -8 = 1/2” etc.

same idea as AN fittings. its an american thing, americans will go out of there way to measure something in such a way its weird. like seen a post about a guy saying something was about 4 freezer lengths away from his door, lol might as well measure in bananas.

Doesn't the machinist/welder in Australia measure in Bananas as well ?
