Why the chevy crank. Stroke? Counterbalanced?
The bore and stroke of the Chevrolet crank is the same as the T 3 3/4”B - 4.00 “?stroke. The difference is the size of the crank . The Model T weighs in at 16 lbs while the Chevy crank is 25 lbs.
The model T engine was notorious for breaking crankshafts.
Neither of these cranks are counter balanced

You’ll be fine many antique tractor pullers have done this for years, cut weld box and straighten, long stroke 2 cylinders have some incredible piston speed even at low rpms.

before i watch this and no matter the outcome, i want to say there is no f-in way i would use JB weld on a rod!
