Wiring 2 speed motor to VFD

I suppose if I had an ultra-low rpm job then I'd be in low gear and fiddling with the vfd to also slow the motor. But I've been using the machine for about 10 years now and haven't needed to adjust the vfd frequency.
Probably never will. My ATW gets down to 30ish rpm, between that and the clutch you can go damn slow.

Back in the day you could get sub-headstocks that sit in front of the headstock, passing the spindle thru a gearbox to another spindle so as to get really low spindle rpm's but keeping leadscrew and feed rpm's normal- relieving attachments, cam follower sorts of jobs etc. ATW sold them for Pacemakers and High Duty machines but I've never seen one in real life.
