WTK: Steady rest?

Got this with my 1944 10L but it does not fit the bed. Seller said it was for a south bend but wasn't sure of the model. Anyone know if this is actually south bend? Googling the numbers comes up with Sheldon lathes. Also need an approximate value because I do need to fund a 10L steady rest.

Yep, it's to a Sheldon lathe. The "M" indicates its for either a 11" or 12" Sheldon lathe. You didn't show a height from the flat to the center of the of the SR. To the right person $250. Be better off getting on the Sheldon Group over on [email protected] | Topics and offer it for sale. IDT you will have any issue selling it. Always someone looking for one over there. Ken
