Any idea of the weight?

On edit: I see you put it in the ad at about 1500 lbs.

I might be interested if it could be secured to a skid for freight pick-up.

I didn't know p&w made them that small. I think... Douglas? Davis? Built one that small, pretty rare. Been looking for one.

Interesting but no rotary table That's the feature that makes P&W's so versatile ...

Hopefully someone closer grabs it. I'd love to have it, but logistics would be hard.

FYI: It looks like the more common P&W vertical shaper design that didn't have the flywheel up high came out around 1911-1912? Can't find anything older than that, but I'm guessing this one's in the 1900's range. Depending on how much head-room there is, I don't see why you couldn't add a low profile ro-tab to the table for shaping splines. I've been wanting one for doing simple keyways.

Old thread or not; amazed anything made by P&W at only 1500 lbs estimated weight. Even their brass shifting plates were thicker than others. One of our legendary American machine tools makers.
