1994 machine with A950 control

1* indexing B
50 taper
2 speed geared head
80 tool changer

Machine has really impressed me with it's abilities and accuracies!
But I haven't even had app to run it in 3 years now.

It needs a bit of elbow grease to make run, but should not take any money.

We have gutted a complete sister machine to this, so we have screws, motors, the whole electrical cabinet - incl spare control.
We have the whole X/Y/Spindle/gearbox/motor assembly as spare
Only thing that we don't have is the Z/B and screw assy I think.

I don't need this space yet, but since this is not generating money here anymore, and we don't doo all that much milling anyhow, this will be the next hole opened up for the next lathe (and I have been looking) whenever that may be, so ...

$10K and will load on your truck.
It will go down the road with the changer removed, which is only 4 or 6 bolts and 1 plug.
We need to remove it to get it out of the building anyhow...

Will go through a 10' tall door.

This one is going out the door VERY soon.
I have something inbound that needs this hole.

If anyone is interested at all, holler quickly.

Week?

As soon as I get my drip trays in for the newsed incoming machines.
But knowing that someone wants it whole would be good to know ASAP.

Here are some pics of the spares that go with this.
There is a complete A950 control, but we have liberated the monitor and the back plane for the I/O so far. (pic 3265?)
A skid of spare motors in pic 3271.
The whole spare X/Y/gearbox/motor/spindle assembly.
There should be spare servo drives in there somewhere as well.

And then there is a pair of very large tombestones that I built and never commissioned.
For some apps it may be easier to cut them down a bit?
They are all bolted together, then welded solid, stress relieved and/or annealed, and blanchard ground top and bottom.
Pic shows 32" tall if you blow it up enough. May want top slow down the pallet change speed with these stones?

Full set (2 sets really) of manuals and prints.
Plus the two stones that I have been using all along. One of which appears to be in hiding, but if I can git the dog on task, we should be able to ferret it out eventually...

Oh yeah, also a thumb to floppy emulator that I believe has been installed, but not taken time to get dialed in yet.

More pics:

Z and B motors on machine:
Z way cover above the motors is flat.
The cover under the spindle is tapered.
It seems like maybe we replaced this cover here as new... (?)

Spare Y axis motor that is on the whole X/Y/S assembly:
I find it strange, but I don't find any identifying marking on any of these motors.

So is one or both of your Nakamura-Tome's going where the Cinci resides?

(Be sure to post pics of the Naks as you get them set up and running!)

Good luck with the sale on the horizontal. If you could find a shop running one similar, your machine would be a perfect twin and/or backup.

The bigger lathe will take all and then some of the area opened up from the Maxim.

This machine is setting outside in the snowbank now.
Waiting for the price of scrap to come up.

If someone is looking for any parts, let me know.
