Easily grind on a CNC using electroplated wheels
I'd love to see your setup. I make a lot of fines apparently, and haven't figured out how a good filter system would work. I'm not that smart I guess! When I looked even the filter material was over $400 so I was clearly looking at the wrong things? I run oil... so I suppose I can go as fine...- Fal Grunt

Economical low cost broaching Solution
Just a surface grinder, but it's been out of service for awhile now. I need to tear the spindle apart and figure out what's going on. I was under the impression that you couldn't orient a rotary broach? I looked at doing something similar, but the depth and diameter necessary for the clearance... -

I don't believe I documented the conversion to QC30 anywhere. I did the same to my K&T 2D, but other than some rudimentary sketches, I don't think I really drew much of anything up. For the old ones, yes. If you look at the advertisement, these are for the "outdated" models that are no longer available. I have a S1000X1, the new T200A's are not compatible with the C00 control.- Fal Grunt

You'd think a salesman who knew I was wanting to buy one would have reached out. :rolleyes5: Definitely don't hesitate if you have the cash. When I priced one a couple months ago, they had one left and one right, and that was all they had in inventory, and wouldn't be getting anymore.- Fal Grunt

I have considered making one, honestly making one from scratch would take more time (cost) than having one made. I know from experience hard milled cutting edges do not cut as well as ground. The issue is really the relief cuts more than anything. I have looked at grinding in the Brother, but... -
