  • Hi, Spencer. I may be able to help. I have a Steinel universal, which is both horizontal and vertical but the vertical head is fixed). I have copies of almost complete manuals for an SH4D and SV4 with complete diagrams of the SV components. These are essentially instructions for maintaining the machine, but not much is provided in the way of operating instructions. Let me know how I can get them to you. They're also crude in the German/English translations, e.g., "by means of a rope the machine is hanged up" (how to lift the machine into position).

I also could use some help. I have to change out my motor but getting a replacement has been difficult -- need 2 HP, 3-Phase, 230V, 2 Speed (840/1700) motor with 22mm shaft to accommodate the 3-step drive pulley. Could you let me know what kind of motor you have on yours, and also if you could post a side view of how your drive belts align. Thanks.
