I looked at digi key and mouser. Both out of stock.
The original part was fqb12p10 but Fairchild
says its obsolete.
I only need 2 to repair a control board.
Anyone know where I can get a couple??
Thanks for any help!!!

Request at Digi-Key for one of their engineers to find a cross-reference part for you.
The fqb12p20 is a common part/package and they should have no problem with it.

Just order as many as you want...............

Digi-key has supposedly got 1500 of them in the D2pak.

Digi-Key - FQB12P20TMCT-ND (Manufacturer - FQB12P20TM)

It's a P-channel part, so not nearly as common as an N-channel

The -P20 has some differences..... somewhat higher Rds(on), meaning more heating in use. And a higher Qg, meaning it is a bit harder to switch it. Possibly if a larger gate resistor is being used, it will switch slower, again increasing the heat issues.

That is assuming it is mounted on the usual minimal heatsink for SMT devices, often just some foil area.

If a "real" heatsink is used, then the fact that it has a lower thermal resistance from junction to case might come into play and counteract some heating.

I had talked to Digi Key and they told me they were out
of stock and would not have them in till next month???????

This is a replacement for a board repair. Trying to save
customer some $$$$$
I did find some.
Thanks for the input guys!!!

What they SAID and what you can ORDER are two different things.....

They SHOW THEM IN STOCK.

Just put in the order......... I just put in a trial order for 10 pc and it came up with no backorders........
