Tuckahoe Steam & Gas Association recently received two Cincinnati T&C grinders - one is a model 1-1/2, the other was probably designated a model 1, although its not marked as such. The picture below is the "#1", in the process of being cleaned and reassembled. We have the original wheelheads for both machines (not shown).
Neither machine has a serial number. The "#1" has a patent date of 1890; both are belt-drive. Anyone have any literature, catalog references, or other info that would help to bound the production dates on these two machines? Any suggestions on where to research?
