about the Bearhawk... I never said it was overweight or weak. I said the flying qualities are not good. No, I haven't flown in a Bearhawk, but the opinion comes from a buddy who teachs at the USAF Test Pilot School. He teaches air force pilots how to be test pilots. He does indeed know a few things about how an airplane should fly. And he owns a Cessna 180 (taildragger) so yeah, I trust what he says.
Not trying to get into an arguement (I really don't care what your buddies do) but just wanted you to get another viewpoint. Cheers...
