1.5" face Interapid brand .0005" indicator would be my suggestion. I use mine all the time. I bought one for my brother when he was first starting out 30 years ago and he still has it.

I traded the same one for a sandwich off the lunch truck 20 years ago with an old timer when I was first getting started. Still use it daily.

I was presented with an inscribed Machinery's Handbook on completing my apprenticeship. I don't use it much...but nice to have and good memories.
