Hydraulic cylinder rod not coming out

Hello everyone,
Ive a ram of a diet feeder door. With a badly pitted chrome rod..ive unsrewed the nut at the end of the tube. Ive pulled on the rod, it goes to the end of its stroke but does come out..any ideas

Give it a bit more mumbo, that seal could be rusted or loctited in

Is that a brass bushing I see? If so, you may need to drill/tap a couple of holes and use a makeshift slide hammer to get it to come out first.

There may also be a wear ledge ,or a buildup of hard deposit ..........by the way,do not use compressed air ,if you have to blow it out ,use only water .

Use ram like a slide hammer
there is a bushing that is held in by gland nut

What is on the opposite side
perhaps it has to come out that way

Here's the opposite side..would there be chance the tube needs cut to get the rod out?

Hook it back up to the hydraulics.

Took some hammering but it eventually came free

May be a non-repairable cylinder having been welded together after rod with seals was installed?
Could it be chucked in a lathe and the weld cut away to let it come apart?
