Just bought a new 12x36 lathe and need help with tooling

Hello all, like the title says I just got a new 12x36 lathe. I have no clue about different boring bars and tool holders. I would like to know what a good boring bar and tool holder and what kind of carbides that are economical to buy. I will only be working with mild Steel, the tool holder on the lathe looks like a 5/8 bar would be perfect but I would rathe go with a 1/2 to make sure i am not to high. Any advice would be appreciated. Enco looked like the best place to buy but maybe somebody know a better online place. Thanks

If you are new to turning I would recomendation cheap brazed carbide and a diamond grinding wheel. Carbide is unforgiving to incorrect parameters. You would really be better with hss for a few months
