Mazak FH-480 Spindle Malfunction Alarm

I have a Mazak 1998 FH-480. It started not reading RPM's and when you went to orientate it it would just time out. So I put a new PLG sensor in it and now it will read RPM's but when you go to orientate it just spins and gives me a Spindle malfunction alarm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have to get oscilloscope and connect yourself to PLG amplifier and see if you have Z pulse signal available and it is strong enough. What control M plus or M32? What MDS unit spindle has, A, B or C series? or you have FR-SF unit?
