Suggestions for filtering Metal on W&S

Hi,

We are tapping on a Warner & Swasey and would like to filter the metal particles from the sump. I was hoping for any suggestions. Has anyone used something like this (pic attached) to empty the metal particles? Currently we are changing hydraulic filters but are wondering if there is a better way.

If its steel ,better off with a magnetic separator.
