Drill press on Dallas craigslist

WOW, friggin' nice. Even the table is not chewed to $#it!

That would be a great drill press at $350. It would be OK at $600. But it is priced as though it's a museum piece, and frankly, it isn't. As much as I am impressed by the machine - no flat belts to flop around, ball bearings on most of the key areas - it has a non-original motor and quite a bit of rust. And that table is far from pristine. Sure, we've all seen much worse, but that machine is way too much money.

Depends if you just want a show pony. If I needed a "turn key" drill press of this size to drill holes in my shop, the asking price here is fair considering the alternative of buying a worn POS and counting your hours rebuilding it. Once you have a decent vise bolted to that table, most of the damage will disappear anyways.

The price isn't outrageous, but you could also probably find a Cleereman or Cincinnati-Bickford gear head for about the same money.
