I wasn't sure where to post this but find this machine to be amazing, maybe even a work of art. Dated 5-1-1945. Maybe making a part for one of our first jet engines.

Very interesting. An old triangle face Dial Type Cincinnati horizontal with a universal table and Bridgeport head. I have a more modern ( :D 1952) version of that mill in the rarely used but always nice to have to do tractor work part of my shop. Same dividing head and tailstock too.

Imagine dreaming of the day that you could use punch cards.
 
That picture has been posted here before. It machining the compressor rotor for an early radial flow jet engine.

It was taken at the Lewis research center at Cleveland Ohio. Now known as the Glenn research center.
