I am accepting offers on a 1999 Haas HL-1 as a whole machine for parts/repair before stripping it down and selling parts individually.

Machine is Located near DuBois, Pennsylvania.

I ran this machine for quite a few years where I worked as a programmer/operator. It was a good running machine then one morning I powered it up and one of the axis would not home (the incremental units on the screen just kept on rolling even though the turret wasn’t moving). Haas tech suspects a bad axis control board.

The company let the machine sit until they finally upgraded to a 3-axis machine. I purchased the machine with the intention to repair and do some side work. My plans have changed so I’m looking to sell the whole machine for parts/repair.

Lathe include 8in 3 jaw chuck, 5c collet spindle nose and 8 various tool holders. I’ve included some photos and specs in the images below. Feel free to ask for additional photos/questions. You can e-mail me at [email protected]

Buyer must pick up or arrange for transport. Have a fork lift on site to assist with loading.

If you know whats wrong why not fix it? If you do not want to take the chance I doubt anyone with experience with Haas support for older machines will.Bob

I understand your concerns. As mentioned in the post, my plans have changed. I’m NOT going to start a shop. Therefore, I would have to rent a building with all the power requirements and move the machine there.
