Horse hair acid brush

will this type of natural bristle brush burn up and leave dirty residue, like a synthetic bristle acid brush, when applying flux to hot metal? I'm tired of fighting years of dirty joints while soldering due to melting bristles...and I can't seem to find a stainless bristle acid brush anywhere.

Could be a million dollar idea for a metal bristle acid brush...

Yes, the natural brush will burn and leave a residue. Plus a glorious scent in the air.

I do as Chuckey... Apply it in a "buttering" motion instead of brushing...

I recently scored a silicone rubber basting brush for the kitchen. It might be a bit too big, but it's probably up to the task.
