need 2A colletts

I saw some at plaza machinery, but they seemed high dollar. Why not opt for a collett chuck? As soon as I finish mine I'll sell you my set of 2A's

I have a set of 2A collets that are Southbend almost complete. These are very nice collets and are not cheap. I paid around $13 each for them but you would not be disappointed. Do you have the collet chuck and thread protector? I have a 1917 lathe but the lathe has the smaller 1-3/4 thread and 3/4 thru hole in the spindle so it will not take the 2A collets. My email is [email protected]

1917 lathe

With regard to the 1917 lathe,it probably could be fitted for the 3C collett.I have made two of those drawbars, and 2 closing sleeves,as well as the nose caps.It is a time consuming job if you use pipe because you have to turn down the whole length of the drawbar tube, using a follower rest.A slow power feed will put a nice finish on it.
