I bought an older doall 880 mill at auction.I didnt get an operator manual so need help identifying the controls and functions. I just got an alarm for slide hold. it has everything stopped. what is a slide hold and what is the alarm for. thanks

Are there no brand names or model numbers on the control or cabinet other than Doall and 880?
Open up the cabinets and find brand names and models on the cards inside?
Pictures?
Without at least some of these you may have bought an anchor.

Slide hold is like the pause button on your VCR and about the same vintage.
