SIlicone gloves for kitchen use have come way down in price. How does silicone stand up to common shop oils and grease. They seem to be rated at 500 F. They are much thicker and not as dextral as the throw away nitrile. May be useful for degreasing etc. if they stand up to the chemicals.

These in Large size are what I use when spray painting. My finger tips are smooth and not like the picture.
It was also a 2-3 month wait for the large size to come in. The coating inside the gloves make them easy to reuse.
Made in Malaysia (Thank God or Allah)

I’ve used silicone gloves but they were quite thick, often found in high voltage rescue cabinets, there was a box on the wall, a pair of gauntlets, and a scane of hemp rope in a bag with silica gel packets, they were outside switch rooms and mcc rooms where live work was done
( not for me thanks)
We had the silicone “mittens” or oven gloves in the lab, again quite stiff but good for hot stuff.
I haven’t seen thinner silicone gloves like the latex and nitrile gloves, probably really expensive or cloth backed
