I thought I would share some pictures of the new Dro and power panel on the old south bend. Please pardon the mess in the chip pan, I still need to clean everything up and put all of my covers back on, but I'm pretty pleased with the way it all turned out. It is really nice to have the pot and emergency stop right next to the head stock, I thought about moving the controls for foward/reverse down there to but I really like those old drum switches.

Came out really nicely. What are your thoughts on the reduced distance to move the tail stock in? Also, what brand is that and what type of scales does it use? Any pictures without the covers?

Looks like you did a great job. That DRO looks a lot like the one I'm using.

Note: I would appreciate it if you would post your comments on how you installed your DRO to the following thread.

or

whichever one you think is appropriate.

Hopefully if we get enough information here, it will be made into a sticky for everyone to refer to.

any information you can contribute will be helpful.

Stay safe and have fun.

Joe.
