Hey guys, I’ve got an issue. I’m trying to find out what is going on with our 1998 Femtec FV-40 with a Fanuc O-M control. Every once in a while the tool changer locks up, which I’ve deducted so far is the spindle getting knocked slightly out of alignment by the tool changer arm sometimes. That itself isn’t a big issue but it creates a bigger issue; it loses tool locations. When trying to search for this tools that get lost, it comes up with a P/S alarm 2001: Tool Search Error. Does anyone know how to fix this and reacquire these tool slots? I’ve tried a m61 code after reading it sets current tool number for the tool in the spindle, however it doesn’t run the code or pull up an alarm. I’ve also tried manually moving the carrasel to the tool that has disappeared and found it created a duplicate tool number. Also while I have your attention, anywhere that I can find a Fanuc O-M manual set?
