Hello.
I am wondering if anybody out there knows how to remove the piston from the mill drive shaft on a a Mazak QTN 200 MS 2004 model? Any Mazak cnc lathe with driven tools may give me the clue I need. If I pull the piston by hand with a bit of force it slides about 8 mm from its normal assembled position and then feels like it hits a solid stop. This would make sense as I guess there needs to be something fastening the piston to the mill drive shaft or the return spring would return the piston only and not the drive shaft as well. However I can’t see any clues so far as to how the piston is removed from the drive shaft E.g can’t see a fastener of any description. Maybe its pressed on? Going by the drawings there looks to be a nut under the piston holding the rear bearings on but I have to remove the piston to get to that so that can’t be what’s holding it on.
In the attached drawing the Mill drive shaft is part 223 and the piston is 225
Any help would be appreciated.
