SB 13 inch cross feed screw

I am permanently removing my taper attachment from my SB13 inch lathe. I was told the same cross feed screw is used on the lathe for both lathes with a taper attachment and without. But the taper attachments that I see for sale all come with a cross feed screw. I’m not sure what is correct. Do I need to buy a different cross feed screw for my lathe after the taper attachment is removed? Thank you, Ron.

I would suppose the one for the TA has the "cross feed part" AND the end nearest you - which is some form of slip joint.
