Deckel FP3 broken PU cover repaired

We have a Deckel FP3 Active (the one from 220Volts from a earlier post)
The PU cover that holds the Y- bellow was broken. 2 big chunks were missing
These covers are no longer available
So I fabricated a kind of partial mould for the missing piece
Then poured in a 2K PU with a filler that made it lighter
The result still needs some TLC but was satisfying

Polyurethane?

Yes Polyurethane Its a dence foam Very light Thats why I got that lightweight addative
I bought it several years ago to fix some other PU covers from Deckel
I did not remember the ratio So perhaps it is still a bit heavy
I also have microballs But that stuff makes the PU thicker

Peter, that looks great! Once it is painted no one will ever know that it was broken before. Also, it is hard to glue to PU, but that PU 2k mix sticks to everything (especially clothing and skin, as I am sure you know!). Cheers, Bruce

I was thinking of making a plaster mold and make new ones
But I decided to keep it to thinking rather then doing

In the US abbreviations are very commen and keep me wondering many times
So no it was reversed for once

Pu you glue with PU glue Simple as that
I have glued broken up Deckel PU covers in the past It is low dencity stuff Foamed a bit
And then filled in any missing pieces with this 2K stuff
