Hi everyone!
Machine: 17" South Bend Turn-nado Lathe 30" between centers 2 9/16" spindle hole
I obtained this lathe earlier this year. It has a taper attachment and I've not had any luck getting it setup properly. I have not found any videos online about this specific attachment. From what I have read its a telescoping taper attachment. Please see the photos. With the attachment locked to the ways and set to 0deg, it will follow the attachment. Once I increase the taper angle, the carriage seems to bind. I am looking for some help before I do a deep dive and take the whole cross feed apart to see if it needs cleaned.
Are there any other steps that I need to take to get this to function?
If any other lathe information is needed let me know.
